Backbox Insert - Reportedly, about 18,000 units of this game were made, with approximately 8,000 reusing parts from unsold Sky Star plus 10,000 more using new parts. Pictured here is a Tic & Toc backbox insert with a blue circle drawn around five sockets in the lower left corner without light bulbs in them. These five bulbs are unneeded for Tic &Toc because the glass has no silkscreening in that area, while the glass for Sky Star does. Therefore, this insert appears to be a reuse from the Sky Star production run. However, we don't know if the new inserts made for the remaining 10,000 games had these five sockets or if the insert was redesigned without them. Indicate if the backbox insert for your Tic & Toc has these five sockets in this lower left area, or has the 5 holes but no wired sockets, or does not have these 5 holes at all. | |
